Manual install for Cursor, Codex and others

Add the TaloTrace MCP server by hand to any MCP client.

Prefer talotrace setup. Use this page when you edit the configuration yourself.

The MCP server is npx -y @talotrace/connect mcp. It needs Node 22.14 or newer. Each environment has its own package, so there is no URL to set. The packages are listed under Configuration.

Put this in .cursor/mcp.json in the project, or in ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project.

Skills

The MCP server gives your agent the tools. The skills tell it how to use them. talotrace setup writes them. Without it, copy the skill of your environment from the plugin repository into your project’s AGENTS.md or rules.
